Is there still room on country radio for a great bar band?

The radio gods briefly smiled on a ragtag Georgia gang called Confederate Railroad in the early ’90s, but the leather-and-denim ensemble’s run of hits (highlighted by popular recurrent “Trashy Women”) lasted only about two years. Ryan, Matt and myself meet up with our manager G around lunch time and took a little trip off to Wahoo's for some fish tacos.  AMAZING!!!  Then we spent the rest of the afternoon driving around the Hills, Rodeo Drive, etc.  Pretty mind blowing to drive around and see the vast, overwhelming size of that city.  We ended up a little pub called Molly Malones for a few beers and some darts.  We wrapped up around 6 and headed back to the hotel.

Well, it's a new week!!  It's Tuesday after CRS and for those that don't know what it is, I'll explain. It's a week-long event where every radio programmer and journalist from large markets to small markets come to town for seminars, live shows and DRINKING!!!  So it's a long week for everyone.  Warner Bros. Records put on a show called “Motown Throwdown” where almost every artist on the label played a song of theirs and a Motown song.  We played the Barrett Strong song, “Money (That’s What I Want)" which was killer.  We’re even thinking of working it into our regular set!
