2010 is just about over. It’s New Year’s Eve and obviously the perfect time to take a look back at the last year and plan for a new one. A couple of weeks ago I set aside a day to go through some of this year’s schedule and tour dates to get ready for the band’s 2010 year-end meeting. However, I got about 25 minutes in and suddenly turned into Clark Griswold in Christmas Vacation…stuck up in the attic lost in old videos and photos and memories of days gone by. I don’t know how it is for you, but I can recall the rough spots from last year pretty easily. There were certainly enough of them, both personally and professionally. There were lost jobs, lost opportunities and lost loved ones, and they will always be a part of us. But in going through all the 2010 photos and videos I found something else. Great accomplishments and memories that I also never want to forget. I wound up spending that whole day putting together the video attached, a summary of the Dirt Drifters’ 2010. To me it's a reminder of why I choose to do what I do. I am grateful for my family and friends. I am grateful for the ups and downs of 2010. And I am hopeful for the future. It begins on 1/1/11. Have a safe and blessed New Year’s.
See you on the road.
