    Hey there everybody,

The last two weeks for me have been pretty tough! Why? Well, I've been on a DIET that’s why!!! I've gained 15 pounds since January. You know how they say when you go to college you get the "freshman 15," well, in the music business when you go on your radio tour you get the "new artist 15!" This is why.....

All you do is travel around the country and hit up one to two country radio stations a day and play some acoustic songs for them. After that, you go out to eat every night with whoever is in charge of that certain station you visited that day and stuff your face. After dinner, you usually go out for drinks until 2:00am. You wake up the next morning very early and do it all over again. Sounds fun right, well it is but you never have time to work out and if your will power is anything like mine you don't tend to order the healthiest options on the menu. Lots of heavy pasta dishes and steak for this guy. Ok you got me, anything fried I'm a sucker for too. Hey, what can I say, I'm from Louisiana. Oh sure, I have desert too. Well for the most part that’s over now and 6 months later I'm left with the end result and it's not a pretty sight! I'm happy to say though I've been working out really hard and trying to watch what I eat for the most part and I'm down 10 pounds in just 3 weeks! I'm trying to lose 20 pounds total, so hopefully in 3 more weeks I can get back to my normal self.

Besides that, life is pretty good, I can't really complain when I am playing music for a living. I'm starting to see all the hard work and sacrifices I've made pay off! Always follow your dreams! It won’t happen over night, but if you stick with it and grind out through the bad times, and there's a lot of them, you can make it!
