    Hey everyone Matt here,

Well it's January 6th and we've been ramping up this week for the new year and new start. The past few days have been full of meetings, but today we are bearing down to what it's all about... the music.  We’re having a full ten hour rehearsal and playing songs 'til our fingers ache and heads spin and we couldn't be any happier. Its funny traveling around the U.S. these past few years, we sure can get sick of each other from time to time. The RV can get pretty crowded to say the least...haha.

2010 is just about over.  It’s New Year’s Eve and obviously the perfect time to take a look back at the last year and plan for a new one.  A couple of weeks ago I set aside a day to go through some of this year’s schedule and tour dates to get ready for the band’s 2010 year-end meeting.  However, I got about 25 minutes in and suddenly turned into Clark Griswold in Christmas Vacation…stuck up in the attic lost in old videos and photos and memories of days gone by.  I don’t know how it is for you, but I can recall the rough spots from last year pretty easily.

    Hey There Everybody,

Just thought I would send out a quick update on what's been going on with me this holiday season.  Christmas this year was GREAT!  Since I have moved to Nashville I've been in the category of "Starving Musician."  Well, I still kind of fall into that category, but this December I was blessed and received some extra cash.  Needless to say we went a little overboard on Christmas this year!  The past few years my wife and I have had to pretty much get presents for the kids at the Dollar Store!  Luckily, my kids were young enough to not know the difference.

    Hey Everybody,

Well, we shot our first music video a couple weeks ago and four out of five us had a blast! Unfortunately, Jeff had a tough fall and broke his arm so his day was spent acting like he wasn't in pain to finish the shoot.  (We’re not #@?!*'s in this band! We're tough.  Well Jeff was the tough one.) Even though that happened we still had a great time! Wes Edwards shot the video and we had our good buddy Blue Foley make a guest appearance as the boss and he dominated the role.

Who's ready for a tryptophan coma?

I've always loved Thanksgiving.  It’s the only day where you can overeat, watch football, nap, hang with the people you love the most and did I mention over eat?  This year I'll be spending mine in beautiful KY with my lovely wife and in-laws.  Matt and Ryan are staying here in Nashville with their families, Jeff is heading to Indiana to the in-laws and Nick is going home to Baton Rouge to be with his family.  It really is a great holiday to think about the relationships that you have and how lucky we really are.

    Hey everybody,
I have finally recovered from CMA night, so I'll fill you in on my evening. The night kicked off for me at the Sony veiwing party at Cabana. Free food, free booze, good folks! Money! So I kinda of watched the show and talked with everybody there and got to see my buddy Tom Douglass win Song of the Year for Miranda’s “The House That Built Me” which was well deserved!!! Outside of that, it was so loud in the restaurant I didn't get to see much of the show, but as I was leaving someone told me Blake Shelton won male vocalist so I knew the Warner Bros.

It is a long drive from Oklahoma to Florida. Take 8 guys in an RV over two days and it is a long and smelly ride. So it was a true blessing to have a place to stay when we got to Ocala last Tuesday night. We stayed with my cousins Beth and Eddie for a couple nights and were treated to some great down time. A pool, some poker, some great food and we were recharged and ready for our Florida tour.

The week in Florida is a little more like what we are used to…get up, drive to a club, load in, soundcheck,, eat, get dressed and play the show.

This past week we played three nights back to back, three hours a night at a casino in Tulsa. We knew going into it that it was gonna be hard work, but we had no idea what was truly in store for us. This place was like Fort Knox. It had more rules, regulations and stipulations than a recording contract! The guard that let us in every night was a nice dude, but man was he slow. He asked me if I could play the deliverance song on my harmonica, so I pretty much played it over and over until he finally called for someone to come get me and take me to the stage.
